composing email to jelly london agency OR Nicki - JELLY LONDON head of illustration

a cut from a blog post i came across whilst looking for ways to contact agencies:

Think about what you care about, and what your passions are and create work that reflects this. “Demonstrate that you can take direction and interpret someone else’s brief,” adds Nikki Field, an illustration agent at
Jelly London. “Your job as an illustrator is to communicate.” A concise portfolio that reflects your personal voice is a general rule of thumb: “Try to show a range of relatable themes and ideas – style is important; it should be like a thread that runs throughout your work.”

"I have a thing about monochrome." - this is something i could play on as i work a lot in monochrome!
Hello, Hope you are having a good morning,

having a strong moral compass, i jump at the chance to get stuck into a brief which allows me to raise awareness or question social issues, using detail as a way to express empathy and create personal and relatable connections between my illustrations and the viewer, this is reflected in my campaign poster design for Amnesty International. I have been a keen follower of your Instagram and website for a while and can see real synergy with the illustrators you represent -Pat Perry has been one of my illustration hero's since i can remember so being represented by the same agency as him would be incredible!

thanks for your time,
Rebecca
