the combination of loose painterly work in combination with detailed pen work around the important areas of the illustration is really effective, the smooth thick paint lines that make up the dogs body are very fluid, i like how the body is not outlined as the negative white space provides and adds to the definition of the dog shape. because the whole illustration is not create with the same detail as the eyes and nose of the dogs, this create a strong focal point towards the eye area.
